I'm still going strong with the photo challenge and my bible reading. I am halfway through reading Leviticus and will finish that mid next week. I will have read 4 books of the bible when I'm finished with Leviticus! Here are the first 2 weeks worth of photos for February!

January Photo Challenge Complete!

Hey ya'll! I FINISHED THE JANUARY PHOTO CHALLENGE and have started February's challenge. YAY!! 

Also, in my reading through the bible in a year challenge, I have completed reading 2 books of the bible  (Job & Genesis) and am almost done with a third (Exodus)! If you want to try this challenge and want to read through the bible in a year, I would encourage you to use this pacing guide to help you. It has been a great guide for me and has helped me stay on track.

 January 29: Growing

My orchid is growing (slowly). Hopefully, this one will survive through the winter unlike my last one. I must remember to water it weekly. :)

 January 30: Colorful

This handmade quilt is full of color and was given to us as a wedding present. A great lady from my old church made it. We love it and it keeps us extra warm in the winter months.

 January 19: Yellow

Happy New Year!

Ok, so it's already the second week of January but I haven't written a post since December, so Happy New Year!! This year, I am doing a photo challenge. I've attempted this before and didn't do so well, so I hoping to stay on top of it this year and complete the challenge. The challenge is to take a photo a day. I printed out a calendar for each month of the year that has what pictures to take each day of the week. This challenge is on my Pinterest page if you want to check it out.  I'm doing good so far and haven't missed a day. I am going to share my photos here to keep me accountable for doing this challenge (and maybe it will even encourage some of you to try it). Here's what I have so far!  Here's to a new year and a new challenge! 

January 1: Celebrate

We celebrated New Year's Eve with some good friends!

 January 2: Resolution

One of my resolutions is to read through the entire bible. I printed a handy guide to help me along the way. I found the guide on Pinterest (of course)!

January 3: Favorite

Of course Kevin & Buddy are my pick for Favorite!!

 January 4: Relax

I am certainly relaxing in the basement while watching "The Amazing Race" on the big screen.

January 5: Organized

Here is a picture of my bill payment sheet. This is how we keep track of our payments to help us stay on budget.

 January 6: Work

I was supposed to work this day but my job was cancelled so I improvised and took a photo of Kevin grading his students' work (with a little assistance from Buddy of course).

January 7: Together

Some of us may be a little odd, but that's the way we like it. It's our family and we love each other!

I can't take a photo of myself these days without Buddy!

  

January 9: Heart

I asked Kevin to draw a heart in the snow while he was shoveling. He said no, so I improvised.

January 12: Blue

We own A LOT of blue things, so this wasn't hard. Here is a collection of blue items found around the house (my coat, my phone, Kevin's sandals and Buddy's sweatshirt).
